Stock Photos of Dexter Cattle
This is a page of stock pictures of Dexter cattle. The Dexter is regarded as the smallest of the modern Cattle breeds. It may be derived from the Kerry and became popular in Ireland in the late 1800s. Due to its small size (bull mature to around 450kg, cows 325kg) it has little commercial value for large scale farming, but its small stature and correspondingly easier care make it popular for small farms and with rare breed enthusiasts. Dexters are most often black but also occur in red and dun.
